Earliest "Sailing", Rocky Point Studio, March 22, 1990
This is truly a week of anniversaries for LOOB (and certain members of LOOB!).
Finally one of these anniversaries dovetails with my quest for landmark "Sailing"s! This tape includes the earliest recorded version (by LOOB - I vaguely remember a Hubie demo) of "Sailing". It's the second recorded rehearsal with lead guitarist Frank Russell (whose birthday it turns out is on the 24th, Tuesday....not the 20th as I have previously reported! Sorry, Frank!)
It took us 6 months before we cracked the code to "Sailing". Here, we are still in the exploratory stages....though every "Sailing" was exploratory! This the first time we got a real good look at the rare beast!
