Well....you want a half hour LOOB show? We'll give you one helluva half hour! Here you get a quintessential showcase show, with all our "hits": "Someone's In My Head", "I Owe", "It's All Right", Thundersong", "Gimme Fun", and we encore with a "Bambaleda". This is LOOB 1992.
It was called "The Underworld", which evokes images of - I don't know - goth bartenders and mohawked bouncers. In actuality it was really just some after work lounge in midtown. I think you walked down into it, that must have been why it was called the Underworld. At this particular gig, some sweaty, grey-suited corporate beast kept leaping up onstage, sans pants, grabbing the microphone and - at one point - bashing Hubie's hand-drum on to my cymbals, banshee-style, terrifying violence in his eyes, "kill kill kill the poor!". I actually stood up in the middle of wailing out on the drum break just to bellow into his fat doughy face "NOOOOOOOO!" He skulked away as if someone had just yelled "bad dog!" (it didn't stop him from remaining onstage "contributing" to the show). (what the hell, no harm done).
"The Underworld", ha. We actually played there again.
