Rocky Point Studio, July 17, 1990

That's how long this jam is.
I'm almost done updating all the links, that's why I've been posting short little things.  Today is in the same vein.  Or is it vain.

You may have heard a crazy jam crop up from time to time.  It appears in this "Sailing", this "Beating A Dead Horse", and within the "Scapegrace" jam.  I sometimes call it the "Scapegrace" jam, Ted always labeled it as "art rock jam".  As in "Sailing with art rock jam".  I think we ceased the "art rock jam" when we got all of our equipment stolen - it relied on an effect that Hubie had come up with, using his effects rack.

Anyway, what I'm posting today is the sole recording from the July 17, 1990 rehearsal.  We obviously have just come up with the "jam" and are laying it down on tape so we don't forget it.  Maybe we thought we'd develop it into a song; instead it was one of our "floating jams" that could pop up virtually anywhere; once Hubie called up that effect, we all knew what to do, and where we were going!

So - as I update the remainder of this blog - have a listen to LOOB coming up with a very cool thang!
